Nuclear Option: Yi Haw!

Samuel Alito will be the next judge on the Supreme Court of the United States. A conservative through and through, this guy has the pundits cheering. I don't know enough about him yet to make a judgement.

But based on the fact that Michelle Malkin, Mike's Noise, RedState, PowerLine, Patterico, NationalReview and even crazy NewsMax are lapping up the fight that will ensue in the US Senate, I am guessing that the GOP will reenergise and that US politics will become very interesting very quickly. Already the lines are being drawn. Democrat minority leader Harry Reid (yes he is the leader of a minority remember), has said:

"The Senate needs to find out if the man replacing Miers is too radical for the American people,"

In response,

Senator Lindsey Graham, Republican of South Carolina, fired back Sunday, saying that if the Democrats staged a filibuster against Judge Alito or Judge Luttig because of their conservatism, "the filibuster will not stand."

Guys, this is exciting stuff! Even more exciting, because conservatives already know where the Democrats will try to hit Alito in the confirmation hearings.

As all conservative pundits are saying:

B-R-I-N-G I-T O-N!!!!
